Dr. Joanna "Asia" Jaros is a current Dermatology resident at Cook County Hospitals and Health System (CCHHS). She is a native Chicagoan who received her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. She graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago on an academic scholarship. During her time, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society and awarded the George H. Miller HSSR Grant for Inter-professional Research for her research on multidisciplinary rounds.

 

Dr. Jaros completed her internship training at AMITA St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago. She has authored numerous posters, scientific articles, and book chapters on the topic of eczema and complementary therapies in eczema management. Dr. Jaros is committed to providing compassionate, equitable, and evidence-based care for all of her patients. Her special research interests include eczema, chronic urticaria, and diet and lifestyle modifications in dermatology. Her professional goal is to integrate alternative and complementary modalities with conventional treatments in her future dermatologic practice. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jaros teaches dance and fitness classes at her local gym, Fitness Formula Clubs, and is a self-proclaimed foreign language aficionado.
