Are these pants truly chemical free and hypoallergenic?

Yes. The fabric is free from latex, spandex, synthetic fibers, dyes, resins, bleach, and formaldehyde. They are designed specifically for people with eczema, contact dermatitis, and multiple chemical sensitivities.

Are these pants safe for eczema and very sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Cottonique focuses on allergy friendly clothes that let your skin breathe. These pants are:

• 100% organic cotton
• Free from latex and spandex
• Free from harsh dyes and resins

They are an excellent option for eczema, psoriasis, TSW, and other sensitive skin conditions.

Do you use bleach on this cotton?

No. Cottonique does not use bleach on this item. The natural colored garments are completely dye free, chemical free, latex free, and spandex free. For colored styles, Cottonique uses less harsh, allergy considerate dyes, but this specific product is undyed and unbleached.

How does the waist and drawstring work? Is there elastic?

The waistband is soft cotton with no elastic. It is held in place by an adjustable 100% organic cotton braided drawstring. You can tighten or loosen the drawstring to find your most comfortable fit, including loosening it at night so there is no tightness or itchiness at the waist.

Can I loosen the drawstring as much as I like?

Yes. The drawstring can be loosened significantly for comfort. However, since the fabric itself does not stretch, it is still important to choose the correct size based on your waist and hip measurements. The drawstring helps with adjustability, but it does not turn a smaller size into a larger one.

How do I choose the right size?

Because these pants are 100% cotton and contain no spandex, they will feel different from stretchy pajama pants. For the best fit we recommend the following:

• Measure your waist and hips in inches.
• Since the sizes are not based on normal sizing, we strongly suggest you compare your measurements to the size guide on the product page.
• Consider ordering one size up from your exact measurement if you prefer a looser fit or want to allow for shrinkage.
• If you are unsure between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size.

Do these pants shrink when washed and dried? How much?

Yes, there is some natural shrinkage. Cottonique designs these pants to allow for up to 5% shrinkage. Choosing a slightly larger size can help account for this, especially if you plan to tumble dry.

What are the care instructions for these pants?

To keep them soft and skin friendly, we recommend:

• Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle
• Use a dermatologist recommended, mild or organic detergent
• Do not bleach, since it can damage both the fabric and its hypoallergenic qualities
• Rinse thoroughly, then dry on a low or medium temperature
• Iron or steam on low if needed

What sizes are available? Do you offer sizes above 9?

This style is currently available in sizes 6 through 9, but keep in mind that sizing is unique and not based on standard sizes. At this time, there are no sizes above size 9 available for these lounge pants. We know extended sizing is important and we share your feedback with our team whenever customers request larger sizes. What waist do sizes 8 and 9 roughly fit?

For detailed measurements, please refer to the size chart on the product page. As a general guide, sizes 8 and 9 are designed for fuller waists and hips and are the most generous fit in this style. If you are close to the upper end of the size chart or prefer a looser fit, we suggest choosing the larger size.

If my waist fluctuates a lot, which size should I choose?

If your waist measurement changes or you sometimes feel bloated or swollen, we recommend:

Yes. Since they are made from 100% organic cotton and cotton based components, they are biodegradable and compostable when they eventually wear out, as long as they have not been treated with synthetic products during their life.
