I like that this can be slipped over regular clothes, and it works well for preventing me from scratching. Like others, mine also stretched out over time (not a big deal). I think the silk mitts are thoughtful, but I'm rating this fewer stars because I didn't wear this too many times before the seams of the mitts frayed. I still wear this on occasion but it really sucks thinking about the cost. It was an expensive purchase and doesn't feel like the quality matches the price.

After a month of sleeping with these, I’m thrilled to say the eczema on my hands is finally almost gone! I’ve struggled with eczema on the backs of my hands for nearly a year, and nothing worked—lotions and ointments couldn’t help because I’d scratch in my sleep and undo any progress. Regular cotton gloves never stayed on, but these actually stay put through the night. I bought two pairs so I never have to go a night without them. I’m so grateful this company makes them for adults—everything else I found was only for babies or kids. Highly recommend!

Does what it was bought for. Stopped the scratching. But of course doesn’t stop you taking it off and still scratching. Dont think there’s a way around that. So it does ok for what it is

The sleeves prevent my mother with dementia from scratching and she can not take them off at night. Comfortable to wear.

I like them

It is great for keeping my son from scratching himself. He did stretch it out once while he was sleeping and was able to get it off. It didn’t return to its original shape after that, and I ended up folding and stitching the back so that it was the right size again. However, it seems to have stretched out again so I may need to fold and stitch it again.

These shirts met our expectations in terms of living up to the description provided and fitting correctly: XS fit my 5'4" 85 lb daughter. However, they are not the solution for my daughter's eczema issues that we had hoped they would be. My 16 year old daughter has been suffering from eczema her entire life with little reprieve. The flare that she has been experiencing the past couple of years has been especially ferocious. For the past couple of weeks my daughter has worn these to bed each night after coating herself in lotions and creams. Her main conundrum is that she scratches all night long -- depriving herself of fitful sleep, she wakes exhausted and bloody each morning. While this shirt has kept her nails from doing any damage, the fabric is abrasive enough that she is able to rub and do virtually the same amount of damage regardless -- especially to her face, which has been one of the most painful and debilitating issues for her. In fact, she has worn this with the balaclava sold on this site and still woken up with the white balaclava covered in blood.Too, it's worth mentioning that in the day and age of touchscreens, these kinds of mechanical barriers come with an added layer of frustration that we hadn't anticipated. If, say, she wants to snooze her alarm or glance at her messages she has to remove the shirt entirely. This would be less of a hassle if we had seen any substantial benefit from wearing the shirts religiously, but the minimal benefits combined with the inconvenience mean that, while we will be wearing these shirts in the interim for the small benefit they provide, we will need to keep looking for solutions that really work for her.

Prevents from scratching skin but rather use the other product I purchased-Adult Scratch Sleeves with Anti Scratch Mitts I find that the overall fabric and satin material on the hands are more soothing, better quality, and easier to put on/take off.

I bought the scratch sleeves for my 13 year old son who has eczema primarily on his hands and behind his knees. He scratches the backs of his hands so much during the night that he ends up with small cuts all over them. The scratch sleeves worked well the first week, but one night he stretched out one of the sleeves and pulled it off. Since then the sleeves have remained stretched out and are very loose on him. A couple of nights ago he pulled off his sleeve again. I tried throwing them in the dryer but they have not gone back to their previous size. We are disappointed because they did work well n the beginning.

Wearing gloves is difficult for me due to my fingers having multiple splits making it very painful to wear gloves after applying medications/salves. I found these mittens and they work great. I will have to cut the mitten part off because the whole bolero jacket thing makes it difficult to sleep. I will make extra mittens out of the jacket and sleeves, so that's a big plus. Waiting for adult mittens without the jacket!

These sleeves are wonderful for someone dealing with excoriation disorder and help prevent injury. They are very comfortable, and can be used over (or for adults they are better under) a wide variety of clothing. Can also be worn directly against your skin without discomfort even for long periods of time. The sleeves are easy to put on and take off, yet very secure if worn under a t shirt or sleeper. The fabric is smooth to the touch all the way around, even if pressing against you when under another long sleeve shirt or sleeper. The mitts feel very nice against your skin. Best of all, your not limited in what you can do while wearing these. With very little effort you can still do most of your daily activities, with the benefit of when you want to scratch or injure yourself, you already have these on to protect you to what extent they can.I have found with these sleeves the best combination for myself is using them under a rear zipper sleeper, similar to what patients or kids wear to prevent stripping. There is enough of a delay in trying to take them off that the incident is usually passed by for me by the time I could get them off. Also- when you do try to scratch, the soft and smooth mitt doesn't allow you to cause damage, but you do get the sensation of scratching, so they sooth at the same time. As an added bonus, I have found in MY case that my arms and hands do seem calmer when in them no matter the situation.Best of luck to anyone dealing with this, and I hope you find this review helpful.

My wife who has Alzheimer's was constantly picking at her face and ears. When there was an open wound she would just pick at it, and it would never heal. These sleeves have been wonderful at stopping that. I think this product is great!

My 11 yr old daughter goes through cycles where she will pull out her hair. I use these as a way of preventing her from doing that. The mitts make it difficult for her to grab her hair. These are very comfortable and she doesn't mind having them on for short periods of time. A note to any parent buying these for this purpose, I put it on under her clothing because after a little while, she will remove it so she can get ahold of her hair.

My child had a bad habit of sucking her fingers on the bus to and from school. We have tried everything under the sun to help her stop. Nothing worked. It got to the point where she had sores on her fingers. She was completely soaking her clothing before she got to school. We have been using the sleeves for 3 weeks now and she had not been able to suck her fingers. Thank you so much for the sleeves. I know they weren’t meant for this but they have made a big difference in helping her!!!

helps prevent over night snatching

This is very helpful during sleeping and awake times. The only problem she has with it is that it’s a little long for her arms because she is 10yrs old and very petite for her age. Other then that it’s been a wonderful thing.

So aside from the fact that I accidentally purchased a size smaller than I should have (M when I should've gotten an L) which sometimes makes it difficult to keep in place, this product has been such a blessing. When it comes to skin conditions, particularly ones that stem from autoimmune disorders or external allergens, it is too easy to feel powerless and mentally drained — which, of course, only exacerbates the condition(s). Scratching in one's sleep is probably one of the worst side effects because you spend the whole day trying to make sure you do everything right by your body and your condition only to wake up the next morning irritated and (in my experience) feeling so utterly helpless... These mitts absolutely pulled through for me! As a 22-year old, it is incredibly difficult to find a product like this made for adults. Most of what you find online is aimed specifically at children as though somehow conditions like psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, etc. just go away once you hit a certain age — which just makes an already isolating experience feel that much more lonely and painful. So coming across something like this made for adults was an absolute life saver and a game changer. My sizing issue aside, they've definitely been more than effective when it comes to helping me stop picking at my skin overnight. I love the fact that it's easy to sleep in. Originally, I was a little concerned since I was ordering them just as summer was about to start, but they've been perfect and very "light" in that sense. I think their design is just quite comfortable, and the quality is really well-made. Overall, I'd be more than happy to recommend this product to others suffering from the same skin issue or ones like it. If I could advocate for anything it would be to please keep selling these — I think it's a very unique product, and nothing short of one of a kind. I will hopefully be purchasing one in the right size ASAP! Thanks a bunch xx

Product worked well for my Dad who has dementia and dry skin … overnight he would scratch himself -drawing blood. With these sleeves, he does not have such bleeding episodes. Thank you we purchased 2 More so that we can alternate.
